Hadyard Hill Community Benefit Fund has opened its doors to new applications, after a short period of closure to review its approach to grant- making following the appointment of a new secretariat, Foundation Scotland.
The charitable fund primarily supports projects located within or directly benefiting one or more of the three community council areas of Barr, Pinwherry & Pinmore and Dailly.
Current grant commitments, including an award of £100,000 to the new Girvan Leisure Centre, mean that a total pot of around £50,000 is available for local groups to apply to over the next year. Individual awards will be capped at £2,500, in order to ensure as many groups as possible can benefit from the fund. Examples of other recent beneficiaries include the Stinchar Valley Magazine and Girvan fireworks.
Helena Menhinick, Hadyard Hill Chair said: “We hope that community groups will take advantage of available funds and are looking forward to seeing some great local projects being funded with benefits for our communities”
The first deadline for applications is 14th March 2016, for a decision in May. Details of further rounds, how to apply and application forms can be found at www.hadyardhill.org.uk or by contacting Foundation Scotland on 01557 814927
